Synopsis

Synopsis
Asahi, Hikari, Haru and Tadashi are siblings that all live together in the house they grew up in located in Shitamachi. There is another brother, Satoru, but due to something that had happened in the past, he had moved out. Their parents had died when they were young, and Asahi, being the eldest, is the one who had taken care of them all. Asahi is a conservative, stubborn man, and his favorite phrase to his siblings is, "I am the one who had brought you all up", which irritates them no end. Asahi works at a construction site and goes to a shop daily to buy lunch, where he meets the shop's cute employee, Sawabe Asuza. Hikari works as a nurse in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital, together with the family friend who used to live nearby, Dr. Shinjo Masaomi. Haru doesn't like to study, and prefers to tread the boards instead. As the head of his performing troupe, he is a temperamental man who fusses over the troupe members. Tadashi is currently under suspension from school, so in order to not fall back on his studies, he is currently attending a prep school daily. At the prep school, he is drawn to another fellow student, Nagihara Kasumi. As for Satoru, one day, in her workclothes and smoking a cigarette, Yashiro Takako suddenly calls out to him, "you killed your mother, didn't you?"... Five siblings, each with their own problems, soon find themselves in various situations, living life as a youth of today.

Synopsis

Synopsis:
A robbery case subtly interweaves the fate of three strangers, a barrister in a wheelchair KO CHIT-HANG (Kwok Chun On), a Hong Kong girl TAM MEI-CHING (Kristal Tin) and District Crime Unit detective CHEUNG LAP-FAN (Ron Ng).

Implicated by her gangster boyfriend, MEI-CHING is charged with attempted robbery and is found guilty. Although CHIT-HANG, as the lawyer representing MEI-CHING, fails to exculpate her from the charge, the two fall in love with each other. Gradually, under CHIT-HANG’s guidance, MEI-CHING manages to turn over a new leaf after getting out of the jail. STORYLINE:
Hu Te escapes the burning Shaolin temple after the Qing soldiers destroyed it in Shaolin Temple.
The group of 5 decide to develop secret codes to identify fellow patriots, enlist those patriots
and eventually meet up again to escape to the south away from the Qings, and also identify the traitor
who sold out Shaolin temple. Ma Fu Yi (the traitor, played by Wang Lung Wei), joins the Qing top
fighters to eliminate the rebels but is exposed by Ma Chao-Tsing who gets captured by Ma Fu Yi.
Hu meets up with a group of Shaolin men secretly posing as bandits to rescue Ma as their leader
is killed in the process, thus the bandits join the rest of the Shaolin patriots.

Suffering continuous defeats at the hands of the Qing kung fu experts, the 5 Shaolin patriots return
to the temple ruins to perfect their kung fu and take revenge for their destroyed temple and dead comrades.

Kyutaro (Kazuki Kitamura) is a swordsman who was feared by people at one time. Now, he is poor and lives alone quietly. Kyutaro doesn't know how to earn money without using his sword.

By chance, Sakichi (Shingo Mizusawa) happens to see Kyutaro's swordsmanship and offers to hire him for a job. Sakichi wants Kyutaro to kill a white cat named "Tamanojoh" which his boss Yozaemon (Yozaburo Ito) is fascinated by.

According to Sakichi, after Yozaemon began to raise the cat, he changed to a childlike person. Kyutaro initially turns him down thinking its an absurd request, but decides to take the job for the money. When Kyutaro opens the door to where the cat is, he sees the lovely white cat.
