Synopsis

TVB drama, Inbound Troubles <老表,你好嘢﹗> will premiere on on January 14, picking up the time slot of Missing You <幸福摩天輪>. Inbound Troubles, produced by Wong Wai Sing (黃偉聲), will be running for 20 episodes.

The comedy drama will address many social problems that had arisen in Hong Kong for years, such as worsening relations between Hong Kong and China.

The story follows Hong Kong tour guide Ng Ka Yee (Roger Kwok 郭晉安), who recently opened up a new travel agency with his girlfriend, Ma Shuk Jing (Angela Tong 湯盈盈). The unfortunate Yee was later conned into spending almost his entire wealth on the business, and had to file for bankruptcy as a result. During his last few months living in bankruptcy and finalizing his debt issues, Yee discovered that Jing had actually been cheating on him with his best friend, Ching Shiu Shan (Bob). Could Yee’s life get any worse?

When Yee tries to turn his life around for the better, he meets social worker, Yick Suet Fei (Joey Meng 萬綺雯), his embarrassing singer wannabe cousin from mainland China, Cai Xin (Wong Cho Lam 王祖藍), the con artist who could sing extremely well – Menglu (Mimi Chu 朱咪咪). To make matters for the better or for the worse, his younger sister Ng Tsz Ching (Ivana Wong 王菀之), returns to Hong Kong after failing her master degree courses in Taiwan. When all of this adds up, Yee concludes that yes – his life could get worse.

Inbound Troubles will bring many new faces to TVB television, as it also stars Joey Meng, Tommy Wong, Ivana Wong, and Louis Cheung (張繼聰) in their first TVB drama. Inbound Troubles is also the first drama in which Wong Cho Lam serves as scriptwriter.

BIG BANG - Big Bang [2009.08.19]

BIGBANG is BIGBANG's second Japanese album. It was released in two editions, CD Only and CD+DVD. CD+DVD edition comes housed in a special package. As difference from BIGBANG's previous Japanese albums, BIGBANG contains only original Japanese songs, except for "Baby Baby" and "Always" which are Japanese versions of the original Korean songs. The album was re-released in March, 2010 in a 2CD edition, titled "BIGBANG + Live Tracks". The first CD of this re-release contains the same tracklist as the original album and the second CD contains four live songs recorded at the Nippon Budokan, on their last date of their second Japanese tour, "Electric Love Tour".

BIGBANG 4th Mini-Album is BIGBANG's fourth Korean mini-album. It was released as their Korean comeback, as it was the first release that they would actively promote in Korea since the release of their first Japanese album Number 1 (October 2008). As apposed to YG Entertainment's 2010-2011 trend to promote more than one track at once, only the song "Tonight" was used as lead track. The song "Hands Up" is a Korean version of the original Japanese version included on their fourth Japanese single Tell Me Goodbye. The song "Somebody to Love" is a Korean version of the Japanese song "SOMEBODY TO LUV", included on their fifth Japanese single "BEAUTIFUL HANGOVER".

최초 어반 알앤비와 힙합에 중심을 뒀던 빅뱅의 음악은 일렉트로니카와 결합을 지나 지난 네 번째 미니앨범을 통해 좀 더 다양한 스타일의 음악으로 스펙트럼이 넓어졌다. 이번에 발표되는 ‘스페셜 에디션’ 앨범은 지난 1년간 빅뱅이 발표한 대표곡들(솔로 포함)을 모은 것으로 바로 이러한 음악적 변화의 시기를 고스란히 담아낸 작품이라고 할 수 있다. 앨범에서 가장 먼저 눈에 띄는 곡은 신곡이자 더블 타이틀곡인 “Love Song”과 “Stupid Liar”이다. 지드래곤과 테디가 공동으로 작사, 작곡한 “Love Song”은 일렉트로니카 리듬과 모던 록적인 요소가 절묘하게 결합한 트랙으로 여유로운 편곡과 세련된 보컬 어레인지가 돋보이는 곡이다. 그런가 하면, “Stupid Liar”는 프로덕션은 물론, 보컬의 멜로디 라인에서 좀 더 대중친화적인 면이 감지되는 곡으로 특히, 후렴구의 중독성이 상당한 트랙이다. 또 다른 신곡 “Baby Don’t Cry”는 지난 2월에 열린 빅뱅 단독콘서트에서만 공개됐던 대성의 솔로곡으로 차분하고 감성적인 보컬과 멜로디가 여운을 남긴다.

BIG BANG - ALIVE [2012.02.29]

ALIVE is BIGBANG's fifth Korean mini-album. It was released in six versions (one per member and a BIGBANG edition), each one including a different booklet, case, and YG family card. All six songs featured on the mini-album (except for the introduction track) will be used as lead tracks.

The mini-album was then later released as their fourth Japanese studio album, and first under YGEX. The Japanese version was released in five editions, a limited "complete box", two CD+DVD editions, a CD Only edition, and a special "complete box" only available at Lawson and HMV stores. The latter edition came with an exclusive facetowel with "WELCOME BACK!!!!!" printed on it, and a take out bag featuring the BIGBANG logo. First press editions for the CD only and two CD+DVD editions came with a sleave case and a 'tall case' for the CD+DVD editions.

Veteran Hong Kong director Kirk Wong made his directorial debut, The Club, in 1981 when he had returned to Hong Kong from England where he was studying. He got a great cast for this first film of his, including the real life triad member/gangster Michael Chan Wai Man as the leading role as Sai, a powerful triad member who struggles the bloody war about the ownership of one local gang operated restaurant night club. The film is so filled with violence that it becomes its most important character, too, and replaces the "plot" easily and with purpose.

A Triad enforcer (Chan) in charge of a popular club fights to keep it from falling into a rival gang's hands.

One of the true undiscovered gems of HK cinema, The Club (from noted "HK New Wave" director Wong) provided an important stepping stone for the "heroic bloodshed" genre begun in the mid-80's with films such as John Woo's A Better Tomorrow. It was one of the first movies to successfully combine a serious crime drama along with high action. While the story is nothing revolutionary, Wong's tight direction along with a convincing portrayal from Chan (a former Triad) help lift The Club above the tidal wave of action/crime movies that would follow it. Even though there is no Woo-style gunplay, The Club sports some impressive fight sequences, including one between a man armed with a steel fan and two thugs with outboard motors, so those looking for a bit of bloodshed will not be disappointed.

CB Mass(Critical Brain Mass) was a Korean hip hop group featuring members Choiza, Gaeko and Curbin. Choiza and Gaeko originally met in the sixth grade but before forming CB Mass they began an underground hip hop group named kod along with Sixpoint and ZASON, who joined in 1998. Five childhood friends, Bapi, Dola, Jijo, Hasna and Riju are just out of college who hangs out together. Bapi, the younger son of a rich jeweller in Kolkata happens to be the money contributors for his friends. While Bapi joins his family business, other friends are looking out for jobs. Jijo gets into a relationship with Hasna. Riju thinks that he is into a relationship with a girl five years older than him. One day Riju’s world was shattered when she introduced Riju to her fiancé, and calls him her brother. Riju got himself drunk, and all the friends left him alone outside the bar. While returning back from the pub with Dola, Bapi realised that he must have got some feelings for Dola. One day, when Dola came to Bapi’s house, he asked Dola who is Bishwayan da? They got into an argument and Bapi kissed Dola. Dola freed herself and told that they are just friends, but gave Bapi another kiss on his cheek. Further, she told that Bapi is not manly enough and lacks any mystery in his life. Another day Bapi’s sister-in-law found adult magazines and evidence of masturbation, asks Bapi’s elder brother to get Bapi married.

Bapi went to see his prospective bride, where he meets Sheuli, a middle class girl. Sheuli asked Bapi, if he loves someone else. He confessed that he loves Dola. Sheuli told that she will help him to get Dola, but he must call off the marriage. Bapi introduced Sheuli to his friends. Dola seemed jealous about Sheuli and asked Bapi that this is not the ideal time to marry. Bapi gets a job of a salesman on the advise of Sheuli and struggles to impress Dola. In the mean time Sheuli and Bapi seems to fall in love with each other. Dola realised that she loves Bapi and wants to be with him. One day Bapi went to Sheuli’s home, where she asked him to stay away. It is seen that Sheuli meets her old boyfriend, who returned back to the city. Dola confessed her love before Bapi, and told him not to leave his salesman job
