A Best 2: Black is one of two CDs in the greatest hits anthology A Best 2 by Japanese pop singer-songwriter Ayumi Hamasaki. It was released on February 28, 2007 in Japan along with its counterpart A Best 2: White. The album debuted at #1 in Japan on its first day and took #2 in the weekly chart as well as in several countries throughout Asia. A BEST 2 -BLACK- was ranked #4 on CDJapan's Top 100 album of 2007.
A Best 2: Black includes a previously unreleased track, "part of Me" (featured in a new Panasonic CM) and its accompanying music video. The song was certified gold for 100,000 legal downloads. There is a secret track at the end of the last track, "Part of Me". The song is the previously-released "Memorial Address", which is from her 2003 mini-album of the same name.
