Auto-Mod - Deathtopia (album)

Japanese new wave band Auto-Mod was founded in 1981 by singer Genet (previously of the "Tokyo Rockers"-era band Maria023). It's considered one of the earliest goth/darkwave bands in Japan. Released in 1985, along with two more albums, Deathtopia was Auto-Mod's second album. Genet is joined here by guitarist Tomoyasu Hotei from BOØWY. Despite being released by a major label, Deathtopia is much more experimental than the debut album.
