Plot: Goh Chang-yol grew up in the warmth of a widowed mother. He enjoyed drawing and did many good deeds in his youth. However, Chang-yol is imprisoned after being unjustly framed. Afterwards, Chang-yol goes to the Buddhist temple to meet the leading monk Goo-ha. He shaves his head and becomes a Buddhist monk, adapting the Buddhist name Jung-kwang. He still enjoys drawing very much. After meditating towards self-perfection, Jung-kwang leaves the temple. Jung-kwang's drawings enjoy a sensation in America. Sohn Jeong-hi, who adores him, follows after him to the United States. Jung-kwang has reached the source of man's solitude. He says some nonsense and disappears far into the horizon.
