Best friends as youngsters, Masayuki and Takuya did everything together in their early years, including falling in love with the beautiful Yuki. However, when Yuki is raped, it affects Masayuki and Takuya very differently. The two soon grow apart, Masayuki throwing himself into medical school and eventually becoming a talented doctor, while Takuya plumbs the depths of society as a hired killer. The two friends are brought together by circumstance one evening when Takuya's boss turns on him and tries to kill him. He ends up in Masayuki's hospital, where his old friend saves his life. Unfortunately, this pulls Masayuki into Takuya's world of violence and betrayal when he learns that his friend's would-be assassin is also one of his patients.
