James Wong's Grand Farewell !

Uncle James as his friends and devoted fans called him was one of the most talented Hong Kong entertainment stars. Originally the veteran star planned to launch another collaboration tour with long time music partner Joseph Gu in the beginning of 2005, but this dream was shattered on 24 November 2004 on which Wong passed away due to lung cancer. All of those who would still like to see their idol in live action can refer to his memorable The Concert Below Lion Mountain Of James Wong .

This exceptional event took place in July 2003 at the Hung Hom Coliseum with James performing in his usual captivating way. During the tour he was accompanied by great celebrity guests like Sally Yeh, Ronald Cheng and Kenny Bee Chung. All musicians offered powerful tunes and James Wong's last live music treat could not have ended in a more spectacular final note than with everybody joining in to sing the beloved classic Below Lion Mountain .
