Revolutionary Pekingese Opera is Ground Zero's (Otomo Yoshihide) 4th album. It has once been descibed as a "plucking percussive sample-laden avant-garde jazz-noise", but even those word don't account for the incredible collage this album creates. Innumerable things take place on this album, be it the gorgeous transition from classical "gameshow" to merzbow noises in Consume Mao, or the Dj Shadow like Paraiso 1. Sometimes tragic, sometimes blissful, this album has something for everyone, and yet very few; this is not a first-listen masterpiece. It demands time. And rewards it!
