New York Asian Film Festial :
Longtime NYAFF favorite, director Ryoo Seung-Wan (City of Violence), may be best known for his action movies but with The Unjust he’s delivered the best movie of his career. Like Serpico or The Wire jacked up on amphetamines, it’s a nightmare vision of twisted bureaucracy, failed government, and sprawling corruption. A corrupt cop and an even more corrupt district attorney go to war with each other as they try to find a scapegoat for a series of slayings and keep a gang war from boiling over into open violence. Echoing films like Anatomy of a Murder, The Unjust is a powerful indictment of the South Korean criminal justice system and of our own carnivorous instincts to succeed at all cost.

Plot:
In 2010, South Koreans are terrified by a series of murders targeting children. The police fail repeatedly to capture the killer. Finally, the Korean President becomes directly involved in the case. The cops, feeling pressure from all sides, pursue a possible suspect, but the suspect is shot to death by the cops. To avoid another dead end and any further heat, the National Police Agency wants to target another person, any plausible person, and close the case as soon as possible.

Police officer Choi Cheol-Gi (Hwang Jung-Min) is then chosen to do the dirty work. Police officer Choi Cheol-Gi is well respected by his peers and has an impressive resume of arrests, but due to the fact that Choi Chil-Gi did not graduate from the police academy he is always passed over for promotions. This time around, the police brass guarantees a promotion if he is able to close the case.

Choi Cheol-Gi then enlists the help of gangster Jang Suk-Gu (Yu Hae-Jin) to frame a possible suspect as the serial killer.

Meanwhile, prosecutor Joo-Yang (Ryoo Seung-Bum) is assigned to the arrest of the serial killer. He has also take on sponsorship by a powerful real estate businessman. When police officer Choi Cheol-Gi attempts to arrest Joo-Yang's sponsor, prosecutor Joo-Yang looks into Choi Cheol-Gi background to exact revenge. He hits paydirt when he comes across a deal between Choi Cheol-Gi and gangster Jang Suk-Gu.

During this time, the man imprisoned as the serial killer dies in an apparent suicide ...

Water Margin is a novel based on the outlaw Song Jiang and his 36 companions. The group was active in the Huai River region and surrendered to the government in 1121. They were recorded in History of the Song Dynasty of the Twenty-Four Histories. The name of "Song Jiang" appeared in the chapter of Emperor Huizong of Song while the activities of the outlaw group were mentioned in the chapter for Zhang Shuye.
Folk stories of Song Jiang circulated during the Southern Song Dynasty period. The first text to name Song Jiang's 36 companions was Miscellaneous observations from the year of Guixin (癸辛雜識) by Zhou Mi, written in the 13th century. Among the 36 were Lu Junyi, Guan Sheng, Ruan Xiaoer, Ruan Xiaowu, Ruan Xiaoqi, Liu Tang, Hua Rong and Wu Yong. Some of the characters who later became associated with Song Jiang also appeared around this time. They include Sun Li, Yang Zhi, Lin Chong, Lu Zhishen and Wu Song.

Storyline:
Ching, a small-time crook, is sent to prison.
There he meets a one-eyed master who has been sentenced to death.
Shortly before he is executed, he gives Ching a wooden keepsake,

Storyline:

Plot:

Synopsis/Plot:
