Plot:

"After the calm, measured beauty of Sakura, versatile Japanese producer Susumu Yokota followed a comparatively experimental and eclectic path on Grinning Cat. The beats are more prevalent (though never as floor-friendly as his voluminous house, trance, and techno releases), the instrumentation is more varied, and the overall feel shifts markedly from track to track. Piano is the dominant instrument here, just as guitar was for Sakura. But Yokota's skill with context finds him tailoring the sound of the instrument to suit each individual track. "Imagine" uses a hazy piano loop and vocal samples seemingly lifted from sacred music to achieve a thoughtful, meditative effect. The keyboard refrain, strings, and choir samples that make up "Card Nation" possess a stately, pseudo-classical air, while the blurry, nocturnal piano of "Sleepy Eye" imparts the wistful sense of wonder perfected by Boards of Canada. "Lapis Lazuli" is anguished pop with minimalist instrumental touches, loose trip-hop drum programming, and a plainly stated piano melody out front. Yokota's compositional acumen and spare use of digital signal processing give his music a unique sound, one clearly electronic without fetish for process or technology, and Grinning Cat is a fine display of his ample talent." - Mark Richardson/Allmusic.com

Synopsis:-

Yung Shing Fun (Lau Siu Ming) and his cousin Man Wing Cheong (Chow Chung) have been at odds for years, over the trade name rights of their family's noodle shop.
Eugene Yung (Roger Kwok), Fun's eldest son engages in a property development project in order to solve the problem. Unwillingly, he offers to buy out the location of Cheong's noodle shop with his company's shares. He also invites Cheong and his son, Leo Man (Sunny Chan), to join the company's management.
Eugene actually has ulterior motives for doing this, as he hates Leo to the core for marrying his girlfriend Ko Wai Ting (Florence Kwok). On top of this, Eugene's younger brother, Gary Yung (Ron Ng), is going out with Cheong's second daughter, Wendy Man (Kate Tsui), regardless of his family's opposition.
Now, Eugene is at his wits' end as he has to handle his family issues single-handedly. He never understood what family ties really meant, nor had he the courage to try to find it out, until now.

Synopsis
Detective Rio Segawa (Nao Matsushita) works at the Oimachi Police Precinct. She chases a criminal for an entire month. Rio finally finds the criminal and goes in hot pursuit, but, during her pursuit, Detective Rio falls down from a gunshot by the criminal. 2 months later, as soon as Detective Rio comes back to the police force, she is ordered to transfer to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s Violent Crimes Division. When Detective Rio arrives at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s Violent Crimes Division, news of a random street attack arrives. Detectives Kei Teranishi (Yu Yokoyama), Mikiya Iwasaki (Yukiya Kitamura) & Masato Eto (Yoshiyaki Yoza) rushes out before Rio can properly introduce herself.
Section head Shoji Koitabashi (Masanobu Katsumura) and Kozo Sugiura (Shigeru Izumiya) are the only men left in the office and they order Rio to go to Ryonan University to pick up someone she will work with. That person is a psychology professor Jun Nagumo (Naohito Fujiki). When Rio arrives at Ryonan University, Jun Nagumo is giving a lecture on human behavioral psychology based on footage when Rio got shot. Nagumo got the images from an acquaintance at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

A computer expert is forced out of the company he started and decides to seek revenge by breaking into its high security office in order to steal the proceeds from a corrupt deal.     Plot

    Natalie is a masterpiece sculpture depicting beauty of a woman. The identity of the woman depicted in the sculpture is unknown.     Plot
